TTD Lord to 'wed' in New Jersey

The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam’s Trust Board on Friday decided to organise Srinivasa Kalyana Mahotsavam in New Jersey (US).

Ttd Chairman D.K Adikesavulu Naidu told newsmen that the Board has decided to conduct Srinivasa Kalyana Mahotsavam across the country in tune with the Ttd’s policy of taking the idols closer to the people. Convening a review meeting with the officials here, Naidu said the Ttd would conduct the Kalyana Mahotsavam in New Jersey in the first week of May.

The performance of the celestial event at places away from Tirupati would provide an opportunity to people residing far away from Tirupati, he claimed.

Srinivasa Kalyanam was being performed with the aim of spreading the Hindu dharma, he said.
