Painter MF Hussain dies in London

Maqbool Fida Hussain, the renowned painter popularly called as Mf Hussain is no more. Sources from National media report that this celebrated painter died in Brompton Hospital, London early in the morning at 2: 30 AM suffering with kidney problems. His last rites would be conducted in London as his body will not be brought to India. From last one year, after acquiring the citizenship of Qatar, Hussain is residing there. He is presently 96 years old. 

Hussain came under intense criticism for his controversial paintings on Hindu goddesses and nude Mother India. Then on he was on self exile since 2006 and vowed never to return back India. Husain turned as producer cum director with Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Gaja Gamini’ and then ‘Meenakshi’ with Tabu. Off late he was tremendously impressed with beauty of Anushka Sharma in ‘Band Baaja Baaraat.’ Cinejosh prays for this artistic soul to rest in peace.
