Guntur Kaaram Final Script Locked With Some Casting Changes

Mahesh - Trivikram's combination is one of the most awaited collaborations in Tollywood. Previous films Athadu and Khaleja are the reasons for the hype surrounding their upcoming film titled Guntur Kaaram. Expectations skyrocketed when the official announcement was made a couple of years ago. 

It took a year to lock the script and start the shoot. The first day of the shoot was also released with an impressive video hinting that this time it would be an out-and-out intense action film, unlike an entertainer. But, the shoot stalled at regular intervals due to unavoidable circumstances like the demise of Mahesh's mother and father within a short period.

What worries the fans is, most of the time the shoots were stalled and postponed due to script issues. The first scheduled canned action sequences were scrapped as Mahesh didn't satisfy with the output. Then reports were rife that script was changed and added family drama to it. For this, a huge house set was erected, and shot a schedule in it. 

Then once again the shoot was stopped as Mahesh is not convinced with the way the film is shaping up. Finally, some major changes were done to the script, and even replaced Pooja Hegde with Sree Leela (who was a second lead) and Meenakshi Choudhury joined as the second lead. Music director Thaman is also replaced with Anirudh as per grapevine. 

The film will progress its shoot in nonstop schedules from next month and a 40-day schedule is being planned where the major shooting part will be completed. The team is still confident about releasing the film for Pongal, 2024 as per their announcement.
