Gone are the days when actresses used to be content with romancing heroes and shedding tears or dancing to duets. Nowadays actresses are showing their acting prowess doing different genre roles and female-oriented films.

According to the latest, top actresses and upcoming heroines are showing interest in doing such roles. Samantha who was recently impressed with her performance in Yashoda is lining up another female-oriented role. Rahul Ravindran who made a forgettable debut with Manmadhudu 2, recently narrated a line to Rashmika Mandanna. Rashmika did not like the story and rejected it. He made few changes and pitched it to Samantha who loved it and gave the green signal. The project will be going to sets on the Geetha Arts banner if everything goes right.
