The controversial GO by Andhra Pradesh government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy slashing the ticket prices in theatres is giving heartburn to the entire Tollywood. Almost all the producers suffered huge losses and most of them started delaying the releases for the fear of bearing losses or skipping theatrical releases and opting for OTTs. While the small and medium-range films can take such decisions, the makers of the big-budget films have no other option but to release them in theatres and suffer losses.

Despite repeated attempts from the industry biggies like Rajamouli, Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and others nothing materialized. Many are under the impression that the GO was aimed at targeting Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab and the government is set to target Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak whenever it releases and this was the reason, AP government is delaying the removal of the controversial GO. Some cite PawanKalyan's fiery speech regarding ticket prices in theatres complicated the issue.

Though the producers, directors and the exhibitors, and theatre owners are hopeful of a positive response, the deafening silence by the AP government especially, CM Jagan is shocking all and sending shivers down the spines of all. Under these circumstances, Chiranjeevi spoke out against the GO and reduced ticket prices for the first time in strong words. Now the question is will others shake hands with him or give hands alienating him. Many feel it is better to join hands with Chiranjeevi as the AP government is not just targeting just Pawan Kalyan but the entire industry. Why should others suffer in AP government and CM Jagan's ego battle with Pawan Kalyan. When Pawan Kalyan spoke against the AP government's decision, many alienated him, and some even foul-mouthed him and committed a mistake. They cannot afford to do the same again.
