Sandalwood star Puneeth Rajkumar passed away due to a heart attack leaving all his fans shellshocked and tearstruck. He suffered a heart attack while working in a gym at 11 AM today and even though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors couldn't save him. Film celebrities from across the country expressing their shock and condolences.
In the meantime, Puneeth Rajkumar's last wish was revealed and it remained unfulfilled. Puneeth Rajkumar dreamed of sharing screen presence with Mega Star Chiranjeevi. Meher Ramesh who directed Puneeth Rajkumar in a hit film Veera Kannadiga, a remake of NTR's Andhrawala, speaking to scribes revealed Puneeth's dream.
He said when Puneeth came to know that he got a chance to direct Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar, he expressed his desire to be part of the project at least in a small role. He said Puneeth requested him to at least cast him in a dance number opposite Chiranjeevi. It is known that Chiranjeevi and Rajkumar's family shares very good bonding for many years.
