Films With ANR, Nagarjuna: Double Blow To HIM

Generally any star would have loved to share screen presence with late Akkineni Nageswara Rao aka ANR and his son Nagarjuna. Upcoming heroes of Akkineni clan would have never dreamed of missing that opportunity.

Nagarjuna's nephew Sumanth surprised all making a shocking statement. He starred along with Nagarjuna in Snehamante Idera in 2001. He said he committed a mistake starring in this film saying he felt that the film was a wrong choice by him even before its release. He said however he trusted Super good Films as they scored two hits with Nagarjuna and would complete a hattrick.

Speaking more about it he said, "Movie lovers did not accept me and my uncle Nagarjuna as friends in the film. To the top of its script was also not good. In Malayalam and Tamil, the film turned out to be a hit but Telugu movie lovers did not accept our relationship. I knew that before doing the film but did not reveal it at that time. I also found it difficult in a scene that requires me to hit my uncle Nagarjuna and even movie lovers couldn't digest it."

Sumanth continued saying he did a wrong thing by starring with his grand father ANR. He said, "I did Pelli Sambandham with my grandfather ANR. The film which I did due to Raghavendra Rao's pressure flopped at the box office. In my excitement to share screen presence with my grandfather and uncle, the films didnot do well due to loopholes in the script and the onscreen relation which movie lovers didnot accept".

Sumanth is presently starring in Kapatadhaari which is official remake of Kannada hit Kavaludaari.
