Great Gesture: Chiru Donates 1 Cr For Film Workers

Tollywood is shut down indefinitely as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. Following this, hundreds of daily wage workers have lost jobs due to the halt in production and shooting. Showing his big heart, megastar Chiranjeevi announced to donate Rs 1 Cr for providing relief to the Film workers.

“The lockdown situation while mandatory to deal with the #CoronaCrisis,also adversely impacts the lives of daily wage workers & lower income groups in the country including the #TeluguFilmIndustry. Keeping this in mind I am donating Rs.1 Cr for providing relief to the Film workers,” stated Chiranjeevi.

Hero Allari Naresh and his Nandi film producer Satish Vegesna announced to compensate Rs 10,000 each to assisting staff of 50 members.

Earlier, few Telugu stars including Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan etc. announced huge donations for Coronavirus relief.
