Can Puri Succeed Where Shankar Failed?

Puri Jagannadh came out of the string of flops with mass masala entertainer iSmart Shankar. He is currently busy directing Genex Star Vijay Deverakonda in Fighter, which is a bilingual entertainer in Telugu and Hindi.

The film's shooting is in full swing in Mumbai and the tie-up with Karan Johar is becoming a plus point for the project as North movie lovers are showing interest in Fighter. Now many wonder whether Puri can succeed where ace director Shankar failed.

Since Fighter happens to be a boxing based sports drama, Puri Jagannadh is trying his best to rope in world-famous boxer, Mike Tyson. Inside talk is the makers already got in touch with Tyson's PR team. They are of the opinion that if they can get Mike Tyson on board, the film’s range will skyrocket.

But this is not that easy. Sometime back ace director Shankar tried to rope in Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger in Rajinikanth's prestigious project 2.0, a sequel for Robot. Though he was able to generate hype that Arnold would be starring in 2.0 and lock horns with Rajinikanth, he failed in his attempts. Finally, Shankar settled for Bollywood star Akshay Kumar.

It is not clear as to how successful the Fighter team in their efforts to rope in boxing legend Mike Tyson. Netizens are questioning whether Mike Tyson will cancel his busy international commitments to shoot for Fighter.
