Actress Manorama Passes Away

Legendary Tamil actress Manorama breathed her last at around 12;05 am on Sunday, October 11 in a private hospital in Chennai. She was died of cardiac arrest. She was 78. Manorama is survived by her son Bhoopathi. 

Manorama holds a Guinness wold record for acting in more than 1000 films. She acted in all Southern languages. She played key roles in the movies of MGR and Jayalalitha, who became the CMs of Tamil Nadu later. She was also seen in good number of movies of late NTR and many other heroes of Tollywood. Manorama was honoured with Padma Sri award by the Government of India in 2002. She was last seen in 'Singam 2'. Cinejosh prays for her soul rest in peace.
