As the union government turned down the hopes of AP people denying to announce Special Status to any new state, all the political parties in the state are getting readied to agitate a bit time until achieving Special Status to AP.
Incidentally, many of the political parties remained to be passive all these days instead of fighting for AP's Special Status. The YSR CP's head and opposition parties' leader is all set to stage a dharna at Janthar Manthar of Delhi seeking full credit of 'Special Status Fight'.
However, it was AP Congress that launched one crore signatures campaign for AP's Special Status and Megastar Chiranjeevi was the first leader to have signed and launched the campaign. The AICC's vice president, Rahul Gandhi has assured in his recent visit to AP that he would fight for AP's Special Status. And today, he called up APCC chief Raghuveera Reddy to discuss on AP's Special Status issue. Rahul Gandhi would convene a meeting with Rajyasabha MPs to prepare a strategy to fight for AP's Special Status.
On the other hand, hero Sivaji, who was backed by the TDP, has also intensified his protests for AP's Special Status. CPI will do bus yatra. All in all, it appears to be a good sign all political parties understood the importance and need of Special Status to AP.
