Chiranjeevi, Buchi Babu Film Rumours Add Fresh Twist
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s proposed collaboration with director Srikanth Odela has reportedly entered a phase of uncertainty following the mixed response to The Paradise. The project, which was previously announced with Nani as presenter, generated considerable excitement after Odela’s success with Dasara and his promise to create a memorable film with Chiranjeevi.
However, reports suggest that the project’s immediate future could change after The Paradise received a lukewarm response despite a strong opening. The film, starring Nani, Kayadu Lohar and Mohan Babu, crossed ₹160 crore worldwide, but divided audiences. Srikanth Odela had earlier confirmed that his Chiranjeevi project was planned after The Paradise.
Amid the uncertainty, speculation has emerged that Buchi Babu Sana could potentially take over Chiranjeevi’s project. However, there is currently no official confirmation from Chiranjeevi, Buchi Babu or the production team. In fact, an earlier report specifically dismissed similar claims, stating that Buchi Babu was committed to developing his next project for Ram Charan.
For now, Chiranjeevi’s immediate priority remains Kaaka, directed by Bobby Kolli and scheduled for January 13, 2027. The Megastar also has other commitments, while the Srikanth Odela project remains surrounded by speculation. Buchi Babu, meanwhile, recently directed Ram Charan’s Peddi. Until an official announcement arrives, claims of a replacement should be treated as industry buzz rather than confirmed news.
