Fake censor certificate trigger Jana Nayagan release rumours

TN CM Vijay's final film Jana Nagayan directed by H.Vinoth is waiting in the wings to get the censor certificate. Things didnot change even after Vijay became the CM of Tamil Nadu.

Recently reports came that Jana Nayagan got clearance from the Censor Board and the makers are implementing the changes suggested by the board. It came out that Censor Board asked for multiple changes and cuts and the makers are doing the same. Reports also came that the film willbe releasing on 23 July 2026.

It further alleged that the Vijay, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde-starrer had a runtime of nearly three hours and listed several modifications, including muted cuss words, toned-down violence, blood splatter and scenes involving a character named "Collector Shanmugam."

It also came out that after the changes, the CBFC cleared decks with A certificate. This came as an excitement for the fans of Vijay and their excitement doubled with the news that the makers are making changes in the title card adding CM before Vijay's name.

But now it is coming out that the censor certificate is fake. The fan who ciruclated it on the social media apologised with the post "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The previously shared #JanaNayagan certificate was fake."
