Distributor against Ooru Peru Bhairavakona release

Distributor against Ooru Peru Bhairavakona release.Vi Anand's upcoming film "Ooru Peru Bhairavakona," starring Sundeep Kishan and Varsha Bollamma, has encountered legal issues as distributor Bathula Satyanarayana, known as Vizag Satish, attempted to block its release. Satish claimed that producer Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainments cheated him, alleging that Sunkara and Garikapati Krishna Kishore of Adventures International reneged on an agreement.
According to Satish, the agreement entailed his company, Gayathri Devi Films, distributing their films in Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh for five years in exchange for ₹30 crore. However, when the 2023 film "Agent," starring Akhil Akkineni, was released, Satish was only given rights for the Visakhapatnam district instead of the promised territories. Despite receiving a letter of undertaking promising repayment, Satish claims he has not been reimbursed.
Satish's representative stated that arguments were presented on Thursday to halt the release of "Ooru Peru Bhairavakona" until the outstanding sum is paid. However, the film's team released a press note asserting that the court has scheduled a hearing for April 12 and that all issues related to the movie have been resolved, allowing for its smooth release. The note also mentioned the film's positive reception in early premiere shows.
This is not the first time Satish has taken legal action to recover his money. In August of the previous year, he filed a case to block the release of "Bholaa Shankar," starring Chiranjeevi, Keerthy Suresh, and Tamannaah Bhatia, also produced by Anil Sunkara. Despite his efforts, the court did not grant his request to halt the film's release, and the producers' guild intervened, advising producers not to grant distribution rights to Satish until the matter was resolved.
