Back in 2020, producer Madhu Mantena confirmed ambitious plans to bring a trilogy based on the Indian Epic, Ramayana, with the talented Nitesh Tiwari leading the project. After a significant period of preparation, the creators are now poised to bring this epic to life on the big screen. Exclusive information from Pinkvilla reveals that Ramayana is scheduled to begin filming in the first quarter of 2024, with a stellar cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in prominent roles.

According to a source closely associated with the project, "Nitesh Tiwari and his team have been diligently crafting the world of Ramayana, and the groundwork is now complete. The visual effects, executed by the Oscar-winning company DNEG, promise to transport audiences to a breathtaking realm. However, the true strength of Ramayana lies not only in its visuals but also in its simple yet compelling storytelling and the emotional depth between its characters." It is noteworthy that the entire world of Ramayana has already been brought to life through VFX, setting the stage for the actors to step into this magnificent creation.
