Allu Arjun Award brings unprecedented negativity. Allu Arjun won the best actor award at the national level for his performance in Pushpa The Rise. While many in Tollywood are celebrating the achievement as Allu Arjun became the first Tollywood actor to win the national award and did Tollywood proud, many are blasting the jury for selecting Allu Arjun for the award.
Obviously, fans of other stars are attacking Allu Arjun and his fans and even some stars like Nani came up with a cryptic tweet of Jai Bheem. Many said Suriya's Jai Bheem in which Suriya played the role of a lawyer who fights for the Dalits should have won the award rather than Allu Arjun who played the role of a smuggler in Pushpa The Rise. If In case NTR or Ram Charan won the Best actor award, other heroes' fans would have again indulged in degrading and belittling other heroes' performances. Had Rajamoul won the best director award, fans would have brought up similar logic saying that RRR is a fiction and realistic films in other languages should have won.
This once again showed that, unlike other language industries, Telugu people often get separated by caste, region, and various other factors. That was the reason why they are not wholeheartedly congratulating Allu Arjun and they are spreading the negativity. They are going on record that there are many other better films in Telugu and many other legends who should have won and citing the point they said Allu Arjun shouldn't have won.
They are bringing the logic that since legends like ANR, NTR, and others didnot win the national award, Allu Arjun or for that matter others shouldn't won. They brought similar logic when Rajamouli's RRR got shortlisted for the Oscars and Naatu Naatu Song won the Oscar. They said since yesteryear's classic and more melodious songs didnot win the award, Naatu Naatu shouldn't have won. Going by their logic, Tollywood will never grow and Telugu films never win any awards. This shows the narrow-mindedness of Telugu people and Telugu fans who always support other language films over their films under any circumstances.
This is in stark contrast to Tamil Tambis who celebrate their award-winning actors and filmmakers forgetting fanwars like when Dhanush and Vikram won national awards for their performances. At that time, they did not say that their films shouldn't have won and that other films in Bollywood or Mollywood should have won. This once again proved that there are no external enemies for Telugu people but only internal enemies.
