Nagarjuna Planning A Quickie For Sankranthi

Its been a year since Akkineni Nagarjuna's last film The Ghost was released. After its disastrous result, Nag was taken aback and took his own time to re-evaluate his career. He took his own time listening to new scripts. News has been doing rounds that popular writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada is making his directorial debut with Nagarjuna's next which is a socio-fantasy film. 

Now, another project came into picture. The film marks the directorial debut of noted dance choreographer Vijay Binni, known for choreographing popular songs. The film is also titled as 'Naa Saami Ranga'. Popular producer  Srinivasa Chitturi is bank rolling the project while MM Keeravani is composing the music. 

Nagarjuna and team are eyeing for Sankranthi release. Nag's recent films, Soggade Chinni Nayana and Bangarraju released for Sankranthi and became successes. Since then he has targeted the season. Also the film's backdrop is centered around the Sankranthi festival, making it a fitting choice for the Pongal release.

Already Pongal season is packed with Mahesh's Guntur Kaaram, Ravi Teja's Eagle and Hanu-Man. Now with this film, it will be a crowded Sankranthi this time. The team plans to shoot a teaser and release it on Nagarjuna's birthday, on August 29th. Shoot will commence immediately and planning to wrap it up with continuous schedules.
