Naidu asks TDP cadre to gear up for mid-term polls

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday asked his party cadre to gear up for the mid-term polls which he said could be announced any time.

According to sources, the TDP chief issued these instructions while chairing the party's politburo meeting held at Chennavaravulu of Ranga Reddy district. Naidu said that the political scenario in the country was extremely volatile and uncertain. Therefore, he said that the mid-term elections might be announced in near future. He asked the party cadre to strengthen their links with the general public, especially in view of the possible mid-term elections.

Further, Naidu has reportedly reviewed the "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra route map and decided to conclude the same on January 26, 2013. He also had detailed discussions with the politburo members on the reasons for exodus of leaders from the party. However, he expressed confidence that the exit of a few leaders would not cause any harm to the party.
