Congress MLC Paladugu Venkat Rao on Tuesday asked the Congress High Command to take steps to end differences between PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Making a representation to party observer and Union Minister Vayalar Ravi at Gandhi Bhavan, Venkat Rao feared that the growing difference between the two leaders would demoralise the party cadre and it would drift away from the party.
Later, Venkat Rao told reporters that he asked Vayalar Ravi to hold a brainstorming session to review the reasons for the defeat of Congress candidates in the recently held by-elections. He said the party needs to introspect the reasons for its failure in by-elections and evolve strategies to win the next by-polls.
Vayalar Ravi reportedly assured Venkat Rao he would brief the Congress High Command about his feelings and suggestions.
