TDP, TRS cross swords on Polavaram

The debate on no confidence motion against N Kiran Kumar Reddy government has turned into a slanging  match between Tdp and TRS with Polavaram tenders being the bone of contention.

Initiating the debate, leader of Opposition, N Chandrababu Naidu launched a scathing attack on the ruling party and said the Polavaram contracts stands testimony of Congress corruption and hinted at the secret understanding TRS had with the government.

Taking objection to the remarks, TRS MLA, K Taraka Rama Rao (TRS) said that his party was prepared for any debate on the Polavaram issue. He charged Naidu with taking refuge on flimsy issues to cover up his legal battles.

Describing the allegations on Polavaram as baseless, Rao said they are prepared for a debate on any platform.
