Witness Magnum Opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 In IMAX

Mani Ratnam's Magnum Opus two part Ponniyin Selvan had its first part PS 1 released last year and became an Industry Hit in Tamil Nadu. It collected a whopping Rs 500 Crores worldwide. The film is an adaptation of eminent writer Kalki's magnificent work of the same name. The story revolves around the battle for the throne in the Chola Kingdom. While the book is a five-part novel, the film has been divided into two instalments. The first part (comprising the first two books) deals with the beginning of the battle for the Chola throne.

The second part Ps 2 is likely to be an action-packed one as the remaining three books take the readers on an interesting journey. The makers had dropped a glimpse from the second instalment while announcing the release date as April 28th, 2023. The post-production work for the second part is going in full swing.  Latest news is Ps 2 will be having an IMAX version to immerse the audience in the grandeur of Chola World. Makers announced that,

The ensemble cast involves Vikaram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prathieban, Sobhutha Dhulipala. Music is by AR Rahman.  Art direction is by Thotta Tharani, cinematography by Ravi Varma and editing by Sreekar Prasad. The film is bankrolled by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
