Rajamouli Criticizes Rudhramadevi

The benchmark of commerciality set by SS Rajamouli with ‘Bahubali’ can only be reached but not crossed. Into the same genre of grandeur art work, splendid visual effects and an imaginative creation, ‘Rudhramadevi’ was judiciously compared with ‘Bahubali’ ever since both of them were incepted. In this perspective, Rajamouli can be the best analyst to post mortem ‘Rudhramadevi’ and he did so modestly.

Praising Gona Ganna Reddy (Bunny) as on and off the screen hero of ‘Rudhramadevi,’ the ace director appreciated Anushka Shetty’s presence, dedication, commitment and sincerity. However, Rajamouli had same feeling as that of common audience rising complaints on characterization of Rana as Chalukya Veera Bhadra and Prakash Raj as Shiva Devayya.

‘I would have loved more screen time for Veerabhadra and Rudramadevi. But Rana made his presence felt even with that. For any film maker who wWants to make a period film he is indispensable. Again would have loved more political game from Shiva Devayya but guess that is enough for Prakashraj to excel,’ Jakkanna had some hidden meaning in between the lines.
