Retired Cricketer Into Films

Once an Indian pace bowler and today playing a key role in Indian Premier League franchisees, Venkatesh Prasad from Bangalore is entering into films with a tri-lingual name as ‘Sachin’ in Tamil, Kannada while in Telugu it is named ‘Sachin Tendulkar Kaadu.’ No surprise, the movie is based on cricket but director S Mohan has mixed human emotions in high doses to make it a complete entertainer. Suhasini Maniratnam is playing the lead role and Sachin Tendulkar is expected to release the audio of film in coming days.

Shooting of this project has begun yesterday and producers are happy to see Venkatesh Prasad becoming part of their venture as they narrated the story to him only in one sitting. ‘We are hoping for a commercial of this film,’ producer Gangadhar said.
