To cash upon this crazy combination, there were many producers trying to cast the two. Mega Super Good Films was the first to get that and ‘Merupu’ was started on a high note in direction of Dharani. Unfortunately movie getting shelved in mid way is very much known.

Inner sources close to Mega camp say that more than any other heroine Ramcharan believes in the magic of Kajal Agarwal. So, he wanted to re-start ‘Merupu’ and even tried to purchase the production rights from RB Chowdary. A statement from Paras Jain and NV Prasad about going for ‘Merupu’ soon after the completion of ‘Racha’ says it all as how much is Cherry confident on Kajal and story of the film.
