Sukumar Daughter Sukriti Veni Bandreddi Wins Berklee Ensemble Excellence Award

Sukriti Veni Bandreddi, daughter of director Sukumar, has earned the Ensemble Excellence Award at Berklee College of Music, Boston. She also secured a full scholarship for Berklee’s 2026 Summer Music Program. From 272 global applicants, only 14 received full funding, making her selection highly competitive.
She is the only vocalist in the Singers category to get a full scholarship this year. The program will focus on ensemble performance, songwriting and contemporary music training. Sukriti has been learning music for years and blends classical roots with modern styles in her performances.
Sukriti first drew attention as a child actor, winning the 2024 National Award for Best Child Artist for Gandhi Tatha Chettu. The film was praised for its message on environment and education. Her acting and music both reflect discipline and creativity seen in the Sukumar household.
Sukumar gained global fame with Pushpa and Pushpa 2 and recently won the National Award for Best Screenplay. Sukriti’s Berklee achievement adds another milestone to the family. Fans and industry members have congratulated her, calling her a rising talent representing India on an international music stage.
