Dhanush And Rajkumar Periasamy #D55 Titled OM: Chapter 1

National Award winner Dhanush’s 55th film with director Rajkumar Periasamy has been officially titled OM: Chapter 1 in Tamil and OM : First Strike in Telugu. Jointly produced by R Take Studios and Wunderbar Films, the project marks their first collaboration. The title launch was held recently with the cast, crew, and media in attendance.

Following the pan-India success of Amaran, Rajkumar Periasamy is directing this big-budget action drama. The first schedule is wrapped. The team confirmed cinematographer Ezhilarasu, editor Kalaivanan of Amaran and Karuppu, and music composer Sai Abhyankkar are part of the technical crew.

The makers unveiled OM through a special video introducing Dhanush’s character instead of a poster. Director Rajkumar said the title has layered meanings beyond spirituality. Teasers for lead characters and the trailer will roll out in the coming months ahead of release.

OM features an ensemble including Dhanush, Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, and Malayalam superstar Mammootty in a key role. Industry buzz calls it one of Tamil cinema’s costliest films. Wunderbar and R Take Studios are banking on its scale and story.

Divo Music and Warner Music India will handle audio. Backed by Rajkumar’s success with Amaran, expectations are sky high. OM: Chapter 1 is slated for worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026, and is already among the year’s most anticipated Tamil films.
