High Court uphelds death penalty to the accused in the Dilsukhnagar Bomb Blast case. Finally the Telangana High Court in a relief to the victims of the Dilsukhnagar Bomb Blast in Hyderabad in 2013, upheld the death penalty to the five accused.

The Indian Mujahideen was involved in the bomblast which killed 18 and injured 131.The National Investigation Agency (NIA) special court convicted the five after investigation and now after years of hearings and proceedings in the High Court, the bench consisting of Justice K Lakhshman and Justice P Sree Sudha dismissed the criminal revision appeal filed by the IM operatives.

The bench observed, "The penalty imposed by the trial court is confirmed," The NIA special court on 13 December 2016 convicted  Siddibappa Zarrar alias Yasin Bhatkal; Ajaz Shaikh; Zia Ur Rahman alias Waqas; Asadullah Akthar alias Haddi and Mohammed Tahseen Akthar alias Hassan and sentenced them to death. Among them Mohd Riyaz alias Riyaz Bhaktal is still absconding.

 Dilsukhnagar was rocked with two deadly explosions on 21 Feb 2013 at a crowded shopping area.
