Pawan Kalyan martial arts mentor passes away

Pawan Kalyan martial arts mentor no more. Renowned martial arts exponent, archery teacher, sculptor, actor, host Shihan Hussaini breathed his last in Chennai on 25 March 2025. Shihani had been battling for life with blood cancer and had been receiving treatment for the same.

Shihani's family  members confirmed the news on Facebook saying that he passed away in the early hours of 25th March and said his body will be kept at his residence High Command, Besant Nagar, Chennai. Later his body will be taken to Madurai where his final rites will be performed.

Shihani is survived by his wife and daughter. On the Facebook the family members, posted "I'm very sad to inform that HU has left us. HU will be at the High Command, his residence at Besant Nagar until evening (sic),"

Over the last few months Shihani had been updating about his health on social media and following that Tamil Nadu government provided Rs 5 lakh aid for his cancer treatment. Pawan Kalyan ,Vijay and many other stars are his students. He also recollected his experience with Pawan kalyan.

Speaking about blood cancer,he said “Every day is a struggle, but I am a man of Karate… I can’t let cancer keep me away from what I love doing… and that is Martial arts and Archery,” Speaking about Pawan Kalyan,he said You know, I was the one who named him Pawan. I know if it reaches his ears, he’d pay heed to my words. But I do hope he buys the centre, and continues to run it as one. I know he has achieved great heights, and is now the Deputy Chief Minister. But I’ve known him since the days he trained under me, used to clean the centre, give me my tea, etc. We used to talk about our dream of taking martial arts everywhere. I hope he realises that dream now,”
