Murugadoss on death threats to Salman and surprises in Sikandar. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is getting ready to turn Eid explosive at the box office with his upcoming action entertainer Sikandar. The film directed by Murugadoss is relasing on 30 March 2025.
Ahead of the film release, Murugadoss teased fans about the surprises in Sikandar and also how he shot the scenes amid death threats to Salman Khan. Speaking about Sikandar,he said “This is not only a mass film; it has strong family emotions. Ghajini was about a boyfriend-girlfriend love story, but this is about a husband-wife relationship. It explores how families function today, how couples treat each other, and what we might be missing in our relationships. That will be the highlight of the film,"
He added "Though Ghajini seemed to be a psycho-thriller to the audience, the love story of Aamir and Asin was the surprise element. Similarly, here there's an element of love that will move the audience.” Talking about Ghajini,he said "It is a mass film with a strong emotional foundation, just like Ghajini. Initially, people thought Ghajini was just an action thriller, but the love story became its emotional core. Similarly, Sikandar has that surprise element—an intense husband-wife story at its heart.”
Talking about death threats to Salman Khan, and shooting scenes involving 2000 people, he said . “Managing such large crowds required high security and intense coordination. Our schedule was also demanding, and it became more hectic with the threat. Post that, security was tightened and checking of all extra artists would take 2-3 hours daily. We often started the shoot late and ended late by wee hours of morning. Our biological cycle went for toss. But once we adapted, it became routine and the set had a very positive energy.”
Sikandar features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead while Kajal and Satyaraj are playing important roles.
