Makers of Ram Charan’s Peddi are planning key changes for a new version of the film based on current industry talk and audience feedback. The team wants to improve the second half by reducing runtime and tightening the pace. Reports say the Gournaidu flashback portions will be fully removed from the second half. This move is expected to make the story flow faster and keep audience's attention after interval.

At the same time, makers are adding new scenes between Ram Charan and Jagapathi Babu to give more emotional weight to their characters. Trade sources believe these fresh scenes will strengthen the father figure track and improve the emotional connect in climax. After editing, the film will be sent again to the censor board for certification before release.

Once the new cut gets censor approval, theaters will get the updated version of Peddi. The decision comes after the film collected strong numbers but also got mixed feedback about length and second half drag from some viewers on social media. Fans on X and Instagram have been discussing that trimming the flashback and adding more Ram Charan and Jagapathi Babu moments can lift the overall impact.

The movie released on June 4 2026 as a rural sports action drama set in 1990s Andhra Pradesh. It crossed 315 crores gross worldwide in 5 days and stayed strong in Telugu states, USA and UK markets. AR Rahman’s music and Ratnavelu’s visuals were praised, but runtime was a common complaint in reviews. With the new version, makers hope to get more positive word of mouth and repeat audience.
