Most celebrated Filmmaker Christopher Nolan directorial Oppenheimer has dominated this year's Oscars by bagging Severn Academy Awards. Christopher Nolan broke took home his first-ever Oscar at the 96th Academy Awards for Oppenheimer. Cillian Murphy took home the best actor Oscar for his incredible portrayal of American physicist J Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr, a three-time Academy Award nominee, also won his first-ever Oscar for playing US official Lewis Strauss in Oppenheimer. 

Apart from these, Oppenheimer also won, Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Editing categories. A total of 7 awards were bagged by Oppenheimer. Out of 14 categories where Oppenheimer is nominated, it won 7 awards. Oppenheimer is a biopic of atomic physicist, J. Robert Oppenheimer, with the story predominantly focusing on his studies, his direction of the Los Alamos Laboratory during World War II, and his eventual fall from grace due to his 1954 security hearing.

On the other hand, 'Poor Things' also scored four Oscar awards. while Emma Stone was named the best actress, the film also won awards in Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling categories. India’s Nitin Desai was honoured in the “In Memoriam” montage showcased at the 96th Academy Awards. 

Godzilla Minus One won Best VFX award while much talked about Barbie won only one award for Best Original Song. Best International Film Oscar goes to, The Zone Of Interest. It made Oscar history as the first film from the United Kingdom to win the award for Best International Feature.
