Telangana has reported three fresh cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday taking the total number of positive cases reported so far to 30. Among these, two cases had foreign travel history and one person in Karimnagar had moved closely with those who have come from the Indonesia.
Though Coronavirus cases are on rise, people aren’t really caring lockdown seriously and are roaming on roads. Though Centre and state governments are reminding the deadly situations in Italy because of their carelessness, many are not following the rules.
While Italy imposed a localized lockdown immediately after its first deaths, people outside of the "red zone" carried on going to bars and discos, eating meals at crowded restaurants, and hugging and kissing each other despite government advice telling them to limit social contact. Italy so far registered nearly 60K coronavirus positives cases and 5476 deaths.
Now, if reports are to be believed, Telangana Government is said to be planning to impose 144 section of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) very soon.
There have been at least 415 reported cases of novel coronavirus in India. The Union Health Ministry has said that 24 people have recovered so far, but seven have died. Many states, including Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Delhi, have imposed Section 144.
Section 144 prohibits the assembly of five people and above in a public place.
