Releasing Today: Darbar

Superstar Rajinikanth's Darbar is hitting screens today across the globe. This is the first film to be releasing as a Sankranthi gift for the audience. 

Rajinikanth played a Mumbai based super cop in this commercial potboiler. Hitherto, he was seen as a cop in Paandiyan released way back in 1992. The promos divulged that Rajini looks more energetic than his previous films. 

Top heroine Nayantara paired up with superstar in this film while Nivetha Thomas essayed a key role. Sunil Shetty is seen in a significant role. Anirudh Ravichandar composed music. The film was directed by AR Murugadoss under Lyca Productions. 

Both Rajini and ARM couldn't create any sensation at the box office recently. Their collaboration is hoped to spin money at the ticket windows.
