Jagan Steps Back for Two Reasons!

Amid huge ruckus from Amaravati's farmers and TDP activists (It maybe read as both farmers and TDP activists are one and the same) the AP cabinet meet, chaired by CM Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy, was held on Friday morning. It was initially reckoned that the meet was intended just to promulgate three capitals to AP such as Vizag, Kurnool and Amaravati in lieu of centralized Amaravati. 

Much to everyone's astonishment, the government made no such announcement on three capitals which drew suspicions if the government stepped back to its stand on three capitals. Gone through the way the meet ended and the statements mouthed by a couple of YCP ministers, political analysts find two reasons for Jagan demuring to declare three capitals. 

Firstly, YS Jagan might have wished his decision would be trusted by more number of people. And then, it would be done displaying the kind of corruption that the  previous government indulged in through inside trading and land pooling in Amaravati. Accordingly, a crucial decision was taken to investigate on inside trading through either Lokayuktha or CBI. If at all TDP leaders are found guilty, YCP would get a huge advantage and they would get enough strength to get the capital shifted. 

Secondly, the YCP government might have wished every person of AP is made to know how expensive construction of a capital in Amaravati and how economical to make the ready made mega city Vizag as the capital. That's why,  some ministers disclosed that Rs.1.10 lakh crore is required for Amaravati construction and just 10% of it is enough to make Vizag as the powerful capital. Moreover, they made it clear that the previous government spent just Rs.5400 crores for Amaravati and YCP government is paying Rs.500 crore as an interest. 

Above all, the government will be constituting a high power committee to study the recommendations of GN Rao and Boston Consultancy Group (to be submitted in January 1st week). The government will take the momentous decision after studying high power committee's report. By and large, these committees and their recommendations would give adequate strength to the CM to shift AP's capital from Amaravati to Vizag.
