Mega family heroes follow one particular habit religiously. Before signing any project, they narrate the story to Mega Star Chiranjeevi and only after getting his expert opinion will give the green signal.
Only under rare circumstances, mega family heroes do films on their own due to non-availability of Chiranjeevi. Not that they did not do films which Chiranjeevi asked them not to do.
Earlier Ram Charan did films like Dhruva and Rangasthalam going by his gut feeling, though Chiranjeevi was against them. Under these circumstances, it is coming out that Sai Dharam Tej did not care Chiranjeevi and he went against his advice while doing Chitralahari.
Sources say when Chiranjeevi heard Chitralahari, he felt that it was extremely routine. He told Sai Dharam Tej that the film has similarities to his younger son in law Kalyan Dhev’s debut flick Vijetha. Sai Dharam Tej got confused with Chiranjeevi's words as he is reeling under a string of flops.
However, Sai Dharam Tej decided to go according to his gut feeling he got when he first heard Chitralahari story and went against the opinion of Chiranjeevi. It has to be seen what will be the result of Chitralahari. Will Chitralahari turnout to be a Sai Dharam Tej's Rangasthalam or Dhruva?
