Janasena activists from Telangana hoped the party would contest in Telangana assembly elections. However, the party stayed away from elections citing the reason that it couldn't get strengthened due to early polls in the state.
However, the chief of Janasena, Power Star Pawan Kalyan, pledged that the party would be contesting Lok Sabha elections. And now, Pawan Kalyan is all set to keep his word.
Janasena has decided to contest in Telangana Lok Sabha elections which are scheduled on April 11. A 2-member committee headed by Vemuri Shankar Gaud and Arham Khan will select the deserved contestants for Lok Sabha polls. Interested candidates may submit their applications at Janasena Office, Madhapur from 10 am onwards on Sunday.
As a film star, Power Star has terrific fan following in Telangana which is more than on par with AP. Obviously, Janasena workers are hoping the party would show significant impact in Telangana politics.
