Is Rajinikanth Kamal Haasan Multistarrer Delayed

The much awaited Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan multistarrer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has become a hot topic among Tamil cinema fans. Reports suggest the shooting schedule may change, with some sources pointing to a possible delay. However, there is no official announcement confirming that filming has been pushed to April or May 2027.
The film, tentatively called KH x RK, was announced in February 2026 with a promotional video that quickly caught attention on social media. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, while Red Giant Movies is backing the project. The reunion has raised expectations because the two veteran actors are sharing the screen again after decades.
Both actors have other commitments to complete before joining the project. Rajinikanth is working on Dharman, while Kamal Haasan has his own film and professional commitments. Meanwhile Anirudh's marriage is in November. Nelson must also coordinate their dates and finalise the production schedule. Recent reports have offered different timelines, so the exact start date remains uncertain.
An October 2026 report suggested that Nelson was preparing to begin filming in November, with Kamal expected to join in December. This differs from reports suggesting a delay until 2027. Neither the director nor the production house has confirmed a postponement. Fans are waiting for an official update on when the two stars will reunite on set.
