Uncertainty still prevails on the release of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Adirindhi, the Telugu dubbed flick of Tamil blockbuster Mersal. The film in fact was thought to have been released on 18th of October, the same day when the Tamil version hit screens.
But then, the film's release was deferred to October 27. Initially, it was supposed that censor issues made the film's release put off. However, the film was certified with U/A without any hurdles created by the censor board's officials.
In what has come like a shocker is the movie lovers is the film is unlikely to release even tomorrow. And more shockingly, Power Star Pawan Kalyan has indirectly turned out to be the reason for one more sudden postponement.
Reportedly Sharrat Marar is releasing Adirindhi in Telugu states. The producer looked forward for Rs.10 crores to Rs.15 crores pre release business. Now that the Tamil version scored a blockbuster, the film could definitely could have reached the target set by Sharrat.
But then, previous disasters of Sharrat Marar marred his hopes on Adirindhi. As we know, the filmmaker bankrolled Power Star's projects like Katamarayudu, Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Gopala Gopala. Although Gopala Gopala stood as an average venture, other two films were proved to be duds at the ticket windows.
We are hearing some aired reports that distributors of above films are making ruckus and are pressurizing the producer to pay the compensation. Eventually, there's an ambiguity on the film's release. It remains to be seen how well the producer gets out of his woes. Will Pawan support Marar?
