Oscar Winner Replaced With National Award Winner For D51

It is known that a film with Dhanush, #D51 has been announced by producers Sunil Narang and Pushkar Rammohan Rao under SVC LLP banner. The film to be directed by Sekhar Kammula. This already exciting project with crazy combination of Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula gets more interesting with Akkineni Nagarjuna onboard as another main character in the film.

Rashmika Mandanna is playing as female lead opposite Dhanush for the first time. The first look theme poster released during Dhanush's birthday has sky scrapers on one side and slum on the other side. Big bundles on currency act as bridge between them. This innovative first look reflects the theme of the film.

Now, interesting news is, the team has considered Oscar Award winner AR Rahman as music director for the film. But,  now due to some reasons, makers are replacing Rahman with National Award Winner Devi Sri Prasad as music director. Devi is currently doing Pushpa 2 The Rule and Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He is also doing two Tamil films, Suriya's Kanguva and Vishal 34. 

Reportedly, Sekhar Kammula has wrote his script based on a real event. The film will be a periodic movie with political backdrop which runs 30-40 years ago. Sekhar Kammula imbibed the irregularities in economy among the people in the society. He is coming with a very serious  subject after Leader.
