Health Minister Danam Nagender on Friday condemned the statements of former minister J C Diwakar Reddy, who demanded that the government review the implementation of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s welfare schemes as they cost huge expenditure on the state exchequer.
Talking to reporters, Danam Nagender said as a responsible senior Congress leader he should not talk like this.
Why did Diwakar Reddy not raise this issue when he was shouldering the responsibiities as minister during former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure, he questioned.
Danam Nagender said the government has already set up a Minister’s sub-committee to look into the implementation of YSR’s schemes. At this juncture, the former minister’s comments are unwarranted and uncalled for, he stated.
