Bjp senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu took a different stand and opined that the country is heading for a snap poll.

Contrary to the claim of Union Minister Manish Tiwari, the Bjp leader said there are enough indications of a snap poll.

Allowing FDI in retail sector would increase unemployment and the fiscal deficit has gone up to 5.6 per cent due to the faulty policies of the UPA government, he said. The foreign exchange rate is also very discouraging, he said.

While the Bjp's national executive meeting will be held on March 1, the national council meeting of the party will be held on March 2 and 3, he said. He said the next focus of the party would be South Indian States - Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerela and Tamil Nadu.

Welcoming the execution of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, he asked the Centre to explain the reasons for delay in taking the decision. 

Venkaiah Naidu also condemned revolutionary writer Varavara Rao for protesting the execution of Afzal Guru. He said Varavara Rao's stand was an insult to the martyrs who were killed during the Parliament attack.
