Akbar discharged from Care, 20 days after attack

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (Mim) Legislator from Chandrayngutta, Akbaruddin Owaisi was on Friday discharged from the Care Hospitals, 20 days after an attack on his life by alleged land sharks near the Marhaba Hotel at Barkas.

According to Care Hospital Director Ram Papa Rao, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi was discharged at around 1 PM after doctors were completely satisfied that all his vital organs are functioning normally and without any medical support.

However the Mim Floor Leader in the Assembly was advised complete rest for some more days. He was shifted by his family to an his Banjara Hills residence. 

The Mim leader suffered injuries to his left kidney, urinary bladder, upper portion of large intestine and upper limb when the assailants stabbed and shot on last April 30 during his padayatra in Barkas.

Earlier, the doctors shifted Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi from Intensive Care Unit to a private room in the hospital as his condition had improved satisfactorily.

With the MLA’s discharge from hospital, the investigations in the case are expected to gather pace.
