Telugu Desam Telangana senior leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Monday convened a meeting with Telangana leaders to discuss the strategy to be adopted on Telangana agitation.
Emerging out of the meeting which was convened at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office, Mr Dayakar Rao told media persons that it was decided to convene another meeting with Telangana leaders on May 20.
Mr Dayakar Rao stated said the Telangana leaders have decided to take up a padayatra on May 23 from Martyrs Memorial Statue at Gun Park to Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district and organize a massive convention on May 26.
He said the TDP leaders from Telangana discussed the strategy to be adopted after any clear announcement by the Centre on introduction of Telangana Bill.
When asked to comment on Parigi MLA Harishwar Reddy organizing the `Telangana Nagara’ in his constituency as part of TTDP Forum convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy’s moves on Telangana, and not hoisting the party flag, Mr Dayakar Rao refused to comment on the issue.
“If Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao keeps aside his party flag and agitates for Telangana, the TDP leaders will join his agitation and extend support to him,” Mr Dayakar Rao stated.
He asked all Telangana leaders to sink their differences between themselves and make concerted efforts for Telangana state formation.
The meeting was attended by 23 MLAs and MLCs including Motkupalli Narasimhulu, KS Ratnam, Errabelli Dayakar Reddy, Seetha Dayakar Reddy, Seethakka, T Nageswar Rao, G Kamalakar and Chandrasekhar Rao.
