Telugu Desam President, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday alleged that former Kadapa MP Mr. YS Jaganmohan Reddy bought voters with money in the legislative council elections like goats in the local shandy by throwing the democratic principles to wind.
Talking to media persons at the Legislative Assembly lobby hall, the TDP chief alleged that both Congress and YSR Congress party had match fixed and shared the MLC seats in the council elections by luring the voters with money. Even the TRS MLAs were sold for money in the elections, he stated.
Mr. Naidu also stated that both TRS and YSR Congress party will merge with the Congress before the Assembly elections in 2014 on the lines of Praja Rajyam Party.
Further, he said that he would file a petition in the High Court seeking justice in the allotment of lands for special economic zones as government refused to appoint Joint Legislative Committee probe into the alleged irregularities. He said that the government was not ready to appoint the JLC probe as its Ministers and Congress president Sonia Gandhi got illegal land allotments in Special Economic Zones without actually setting up any industries.
