Mahesh Babu is a Telugu hero and close to our Telugu hearts. Acknowledging the superb acting skills, many awards garlanded his star image. We cannot find any other artist fitting as good as Mahesh for Chinnodu character in SVSC or Murari in Murari. Such is the strong Telugu nativity factor comes to life in Mahesh Babu. However, the actor obediently says that he never learnt Telugu in school and he can’t read Telugu even now.
‘I don’t keep any modulations in my mind when I render the dialogues. In fact, I do not take down script or dialogues written on paper because I cannot read Telugu. Whenever, director explains me the lines, I just listen and deliver the same before camera. I followed the same approach from my first Telugu film. God blessed with a great memory which is coming use in this way. My father Super Star Krishna also had superb memory. He used to spell lengthy dialogues running into pages at single go,’ Mahesh Babu says.
In contrast, Mahesh Babu is very fluent in Tamil. However, he was unable to dub on own voice for ‘Selvandhan’ due to scarcity of time. The Tamil version is releasing simultaneously with Telugu tomorrow.
