Korean Kanakaraju breaches break-even, enters profit zone

Mega Prince Varun Tej's latest hilarious horror entertainer Korean Kanakaraju is going great guns at the box office.
According to the latest,the film in just three days entered into breakeven in just three days. Amid positive pre-release buzz, the movie opened to a net box office collection of ₹4.20 Cr, as updated. On Saturday, the movie recorded a slight 1.2% drop in numbers and added ₹4.15 Cr (net), taking its total net figures to ₹8.35 Cr in 2 days, while the total gross (India) earnings jumped to ₹9.60 Cr.
Korean Kanakaraju collected around ₹4.00 Cr on Day 2 (Saturday, 8 Aug 2026) from 1,637 shows across 207 cities with 44.9% occupancy, registering a 19.7% ▲ increase from the previous day's ₹3.34 Cr. The film's total gross collection stands at ₹7.99 Cr after 2 days of its theatrical run.
Day 3 (Sunday) is currently being tracked live with ₹5.15 Cr collected so far from 2,256 shows across 317 cities at 42.4% occupancy (as of 2026-08-09 21:01 IST).
As such the film is expected to collect Rs 30crs across the world in just three days. Varun Tej's transformation, Rithika Nayak's glamor and Satya's comedy are turning out to be the highlights in the film.
