He touched only at the top of them and one gets a feeling that the job was only half done. While the first half established the characters of various people, second half tried to show them when they reach their peaks. There are few interesting scenes but with better screenplay, things would have become more interesting.The cinematography of Nagesh Banell is good. He showed the scenes in a visually appealing manner. The music of Tejaswi Poornachandra is good. The background score of Saumit Deshmukh is good and added value to the narration. Dialogues are impactful. Editing of Shravan Katikaneni is ok but could have been far better. Director KK seems to have drawn inspiration from Maniratnam's classic Thalapathi and the characters more or less resembled the same. A little finetuning of the script, even powerful screenplay and gripping narration exploring the three characters divining deep into them would have turned the output into a more powerful and impactful one. Considering all these aspects Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for KJQ.

Arun Matheswaran did not deviate from the subject and even drag the romantic and love tracks with unnecessary lip locks, hugs and songs.Though even few romantic scenes slowed the pace of the film, he ensured that he quicky shifted to action genre to keep viewers interest glued. The first half ends on a decent note with the cat and mouse game between the cops and the rebels. The second half continues in the same way with the introduction of new characters and the pre climax connects chords with all with the film finally ending on a predictable note. The predictability in the story, illogical scenes and few boring elements undid all the hard work.The cinematography of Mukesh is good. He showed the period look in the story in a appealing and relatable manner. Anirudh Ravichander's tunes for the songs are just ok. The songs had a montage touch. But he elevated the scenes with his unique and terrific background score. He showed variety in the background music. He showed his creativity by scoring background in a poetic manner. Prasanna. GK's editing is quite fine but at times there are few repetitive elements. He came up with a hilarious horror thriller to entertain movie lovers. He starts the narration in a stylish manner in Korea before moving to Penugonda . After the introduction of protagonist in a typical mass way &nbsp;he shows the heroine. The narration treads in a familiar trope and screenplay assumes a routine flavor. To the top of it, the over usage of Korean language puts off the viewers. The interval sequence and the possession of the spirit excites all, setting the tone for the second half.The second half's gangster role is dragged to the core. While few comedy scenes involving Varun Tej and Satya evoked laughter, others looked forced. The climax takes everyone by surprise and though looked different didn't leave the desired impact. The story ends in a funny way with the lead to the sequel.Thaman's music offered nothing new. The songs are few and didn't make much impact. Thaman's background music followed the same template. He however with the background music elevated the scenes. Manojh Reddy with his Cinematography showed the scenes in a realistic way. CGI and VFX looked subpar. Editing of Satya G left a lot to be desired. Dialogues are ok and couple of them are hilarious. He drew inspiration from them and tried to tell them in a realistic way.The narration starts in an interesting manner and the director does well balancing both sides of the views. The first three episodes keep the interest levels intact, but when one expects it to reach the next level with intense courtroom arguments, the director loses steam.From then on everything turns repetitive, testing the patience of the viewers. The slow pace of the narration ends up irritating the people. Dialogues turnout to be pretty ordinary. The expected emotions and drama in the courtroom arguments goes missing completely. Even the character arcs are not created properly after the initial introduction. The series and the narration lacked the required twists and turns.The first four episodes are predictable and offer no real twists. The fifth episode had a small twist but it did not excite anyone. The entry of Sameera only generates little interest. Many characters and their relations are not established properly and also there are many illogical scenes and convenient episodes.The background score of Anil Chiluvuru is good. While many expected the investigation to take off to new heights, the director Karna concentrated on highlighting the emotions and this impacted the pace of the narration. The screenplay went for the toss and this put off the viewers disconnecting them completely.To the top of it, the uneven pace, convoluted screenplay and investigation detailing instead of showing in action, concluding in dialogues, turned out to be a huge disappointment. What started as a thrilling ride turned out to be a bumpy ride in the end.The cinematography of Veda Vyas Gottipati showed the scenes in a natural and impactful manner. He used the camera angles and color combinations to maximum impact to show night scenes in an effective and realistic way. Anil Palasa's editing turned out to be a mixed bag. After a point of time, people look towards the exit door for respite. Even the entry of Mohan Babu doesn't improve the narration and add value to the proceedings.The music tuned GV Prakash Kumar tuned offered nothing new. The songs just come and go like a template and do not add any value to the narration and story. Instead, they turned out to be speed brakers. Jana Nayakudu (2026) Movie: What's BehindThalapathy Vijay has a tremendous fan following among all sections of movie lovers. Excitement increased when he teamed with H.Vinoth for Jana Nayagan, his final film before his political entry. The film which was supposed to release before the Tamil Nadu elections, got delayed due to various controversies and also censor hurdles. In-between producers faced lot of tensions with many backing out and when the film got leaked online. However, their stakes increased when Vijay created a sensation in the assembly elections and became the CM of the state. The film now overcame all the hurdles and is releasing on 23 July 2026. Fans are gearing up to celebrate the day as the festival , as the film now happens to be Vijay's first film as the CM of Tamil Nadu. The makers are now promoting the film not as Vijay's last film but Vijay's first film as the CM. The film's OTT rights have been bagged by and streaming will be after the completion of its theatrical run. Though he claimed that the film is not the remake of Bhagawanth Kesari and he took few scenes, most of the first half is similar to Bhagawanth Kesari except for few changes here and there. The first half starts with Vijay trying to raise his daughter without any fear and then the narration shifts to the introduction of the antagonist. The entire antagonist episode and there after looks silly and ridiculous to the core.The substandard and poor graphics turned the scenes into a tedious watch. the first half turns out to be stale with no real high elements. The second half continues in the similar manner and the core soul and emotion of Bhagawanth Kesari's Beti Ko Sher Banao goes for a toss. The pre climax and climax turns out to be childish with video game like elements. One gets a feeling that even video games or TV serials have better graphics.Anirudh Ravichander is known for his impactful works and he tuned the music and composed BGM for the film. However it turned out to be extremely disappointing as the songs failed to entertain and also not shot in an appealing manner. His background music failed to make any impact. He couldn't be blamed as the narration did not give him chance to do so. The editing of Pradeep Raghav turned out to be miserable. There are many scenes that tested the patience of the viewers. Had he used the editing scissors there wouldn't have been any film at all. The cinematography of Satyan Sooran became a disappointing affair. The dialogues failed to connect chords and most of them are politically motivated. H.Vinoth got the golden opportunity to direct Vijay's last film. Vijay put in sincere efforts and Vinoth drawing inspiration from Balakrishna's Bhagawanth Kesari came up with Jana Nayakudu. Instead of elevating the emotions to the next level and better than the original, Vinoth concentrated on elevating the heroism of Vijay and also promote his political ideology. This resulted in the film turning out into a half baked one. Even the elevation scenes failed to make an impact and Vinoth shockingly killed the soul of the original. He failed completely with his story, screenplay and direction. The so called changes he made to the original instead of adding value, diluted the essence of the film and the message it intended to give to the society. Jana Nayakudu is touted to be the farewell film for Vijay but it turned out to be a failed farewell. He deserved better rather than this crap. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Jana Nayakudu.

The narration starts with the introduction of Atharvaa's character through Fahad Faasil's voice over and his personality and his thought process.Fahad Faasil highlights the mood of the viewers with his oneliners quite aptly while the narration got the hilarious touch with the actor &nbsp;Sudhakar. Fahad Faasil not only entertains but also mocks the character of Atharvaa and also the film's screenplay to leave all amused.But except for the two characters the film offers nothing new or exciting and turns out to be a tedious watch. The narration is stretched and screenplay is dragged to the core on a small point that hero cannot express his feelings for more than two and half hours.The film's convenient narration with Priety Mukhundhan's character disappearing surprisingly disappoints all. The convenient screenplay results in various characters appearing and disappearing as per the whims and fancies ot the director. The story offers nothing new and it is dragged completely with the pre decided runtime. To the top of it,the lead character not undergoing any transformation for almost 90% of the film tests the patience of the viewers.Director spent most of the time, highlighting the relationship between the lead character and his uncle and the girls in his life and in turn misses the emotional connection completely.The cinematography of Manoj Paramahansa showed the scenes in a natural and appealing manner. Thaman's songs failed to impress and it would have been better had the makers done away with them. His background music is just ok. The editing of &nbsp;Pradeep E Ragav left a lot to be desired. Rajeevan (Prithviraj Sukumaran), a government employee leads a happy life with his wife Meera (Parvathy Thiruvothu) and two daughters.However, his happy life gets rocked when money heist hits him hard without his involvement. He performed well as a middle class husband and father and came up with realistic and natural performance. However he did not get much chance to show variations in his expressions as he played the serious role throughout the film. Both her and Prithviraj Sukumaran's roles are completely different from the regular films.Baby Nakshatra, Baby Ira played key roles. Ira generates few laughs. He decided to thrill the views with money heist story. The story revolves around robberies and scams. He managed to excite all with the thrilling elements with the scenes before and after the robberies. He highlighted how the opinions of people and middle class family changes in the backdrop of money heist.Interest levels increase with the starting scene of the bank robbery which takes viewers into the story. However later the introduction of characters slowed the pace of the narration. But the twists and turns involving the lead character and others and the negative shades increases the curiosity levels. The police investigation and others in the first half brings and end setting the tone for the exciting second half.However, the second half goes for a toss with the hero kidnap scene and various sub plots. While the first half is natural, the second half had shades of artificiality and illogical scenes. Couple of scenes in the second half turns it into a decent one.Ramess' Editing could have been far better as there are many scenes that slowed the pace of the film especially in the second half. Cinematography showed the scenes in a natural and realistic manner and Dinesh Purushottaman followed the standard template and took viewers into the story. JakesBejoy's background score is in sync with the story and he managed to keep the scenes the intensity levels intact. Amid positive pre-release buzz, the movie opened to a net box office collection of ₹4.20 Cr, as updated. On Saturday, the movie recorded a slight 1.2% drop in numbers and added ₹4.15 Cr (net), taking its total net figures to ₹8.35 Cr in 2 days, while the total gross (India) earnings jumped to ₹9.60 Cr.Korean Kanakaraju collected around ₹4.00 Cr on Day 2 (Saturday, 8 Aug 2026) from 1,637 shows across 207 cities with 44.9% occupancy, registering a 19.7% ▲ increase from the previous day's ₹3.34 Cr. The film's total gross collection stands at ₹7.99 Cr after 2 days of its theatrical run.Day 3 (Sunday) is currently being tracked live with ₹5.15 Cr collected so far from 2,256 shows across 317 cities at 42.4% occupancy (as of 2026-08-09 21:01 IST).As such the film is expected to collect Rs 30crs across the world in just three days.
