Newton 3rd Law(2026) Movie: What's Behind

Sumanth, who of late has been choosing unique and interesting entertainers recently impressed with his performance in films like Malli Rava and Anaganaga. He is now coming to entertain all with his film titled interestingly as Newtons 3rd Law. The film's teaser and trailer got good response and is releasing on 31 July 2026. The film is directed by Rajesh Karna and its OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix. Streaming will be after the completion of its theatrical run. Newtons 3rd Law story revolves around the mysterious death of a youngster and the startling revelations unraveled during the investigation. Police Officer Vasudev (Sumanth) starts investigating the mysterious death of a youngster Vinay (Trinadh Varma). Where his investigation leads to, what roles Vinay's parents Gangadhar (Ravi Varma), Parvathi (Shelly Kumar), his friend Karthik (Gowtham Pandit), Jyothi (Neha Pathan), Shravya (Neha Pathan), police officer Kishore aka David (Avasarala Srinivas), dreaded gangster Mercury (Jagapathi Babu) form the twists and turns.

Sumanth came up with a mature and settled performance. He slipped into the role of the police officer with effortless ease and showed good mannerisms. His body language and screen presence elevated the scenes. He showed variations in emotions and expressions and also in dialogue delivery. At times, he expressed through his eyes.

Trinadh Varma played the role of the youngster who gets sandwiched between his own parents and that of his quarrelling parents and how he acts in pressure and frustration. Gowtham Pandit in the role of his friend is good and both helped the narration to carry forward.

Shelly Kumar played the role of the mother to perfection. She got realistic and hard hitting dialogues and she came up with natural and realistic expressions and emotions. Ravi Varma did well in the role of the father who once lived a royal life before suffering losses.

Neha Pathan played an important role and she did full justice to it. Jagapathi Babu looked menacing as the don and he did well in the role tailormade for him. Avasarala Srinivas is good as the cop. Harini Rao is also good in her role and she connects chords. Abhinayaa and Rupesh Marappu played their roles accordingly.

Newton 3rd Law(2026) Movie: Technicians Review

Newtons 3 Law story is penned by Rajesh Karna. He drew inspiration from physics' popular Newton's Third Law and came up with a crime thriller. He started the narration without wasting time showing the investigation scenes of the murder. The first half goes at a steady pace with narration intact except for few drags here and there. The screenplay is racy and with twists coming now and then, the first half turns out to be a decent watch.

This set the tone for the interesting second half. While many expected the investigation to take off to new heights, the director Karna concentrated on highlighting the emotions and this impacted the pace of the narration. The screenplay went for the toss and this put off the viewers disconnecting them completely.

To the top of it, the uneven pace, convoluted screenplay and investigation detailing instead of showing in action, concluding in dialogues, turned out to be a huge disappointment. What started as a thrilling ride turned out to be a bumpy ride in the end.

The cinematography of Veda Vyas Gottipati showed the scenes in a natural and impactful manner. He used the camera angles and color combinations to maximum impact to show night scenes in an effective and realistic way. Anil Palasa's editing turned out to be a mixed bag. His editing is tight for most of the first half but he lost focus in the second half including many unnecessary and repetitive scenes.

The background music of Sinjith Yerramilli created a good impact and elevated the scenes to the next level taking viewers into the narration keeping the interest levels intact. The songs however acted as the speed brakers. Dialogues are natural and realistic and at times thought provoking. Production values are good.

Newton 3rd Law(2026) Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Newtons 3rd Law turns out to be a decent investigative thriller. Director Rajesh Karna got optimum output from the cast and crew. He maintained the pace and tempo in the narration with out any deviations most of the first half setting the tone for the interesting second half. However in the second half, emotions dominates the investigation elements and this hampered the pace of the narration with unnecessary elements. Had he toned down the emotional scenes and included more interesting twists and turns highlighting the investigation procedure and process, things would have been different. The story is decent and screenplay is racy for most of the first half before going for the toss in the second half. Little finetuning of the script would have added more punch to the final output. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Newtons 3 Law.
