Nani reacts to Salman Khan comments on South viewers not watching Hindi films. Nani is promoting his upcoming thriller HIT3 across the country. The film directed by Sailesh Kolanu is releasing on 1 May 2025.

Nani faced a question on Salman Khan's comments about South movie lovers and that they do not watch Hindi films. Salman Khan while promoting his film Sikandar said “I have worked with many South technicians, directors, actors, and actresses. I’ve collaborated with them often. But when my films are released there, they don’t get the same numbers because their fan following is very strong. I can walk on the streets, and people will recognize me, call my name, or greet me, but getting them to theaters, like how we accept South films here—that hasn’t happened yet. Their films do well here because we go and watch their films,”

Nani reacted to these statements said Woh (Hindi) original hai, yeh (South) baad mein aaya. Yeh South ko jo pyaar mil raha hai, woh recent hai. Magar jo Bollywood ko pyaar milta hai South mein, woh toh decades se hai. Waha har ek aadmi ko aap punchenge 'Aapka favourite Hindi film konsi hai', toh they will have childhood memories of Amitabh Bachchan. They will talk about so many films. So we always watched (Hindi) films - Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, were blockbusters in Hyderabad and other southern states. Everyone is now lapping South, but Hindi cinema always lapped up across the country."

He continued saying Nahi-nahi, waha nahi chale? Bina chale kaise superstar ban gaye? 100% chalti hai, and we all love him. We all watched so many films of Salman. Movies like Hum Aapke Hain Koun have cultural importance there. Didi Tera Dewar Deewana and other songs, we used to play at our wedding."
