Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu has requested the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to reschedule his appearance for questioning in a case related to his association with real estate companies Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group. The ED had issued notices to Mahesh Babu, asking him to appear at the ED office in Basheerbagh on April 28, 2025, at 10:30 am. However, Mahesh Babu has written a letter to the ED, citing his busy shooting schedule and requesting an alternative date for the investigation.

The ED's investigation revolves around allegations that Mahesh Babu received a total of Rs. 5.90 crore in remuneration, including Rs. 3.4 crore in cheques and Rs. 2.5 crore in cash, for promoting Surana Group and Sai Surya Developers companies. The ED had conducted searches at the offices of Surana Group and its subsidiaries, seizing a huge amount of cash and key documents. The agency has found that Surana Group had formed several shell companies and engaged in illegal transactions.

Mahesh Babu's request for postponement is likely to be considered by the ED officials. The agency is investigating the financial transactions of Surana Group and its subsidiaries, and Mahesh Babu's association with these companies is under scrutiny. The outcome of the investigation will determine the next course of action.

The ED's probe into the financial dealings of Surana Group and its subsidiaries has revealed a complex web of transactions, and the agency is working to unravel the details of the case. Mahesh Babu's involvement in the case will be examined as part of the investigation.
