Nidhhi Agerwal on romancing Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas. Nidhhi Agerwal is starring in high profile entertainers Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Prabhas' The Raja Saab.
Nidhhi Agerwal speaking to scribes shared her experiences on romancing Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas. She said "I'm truly grateful, and I mean balancing both the shoots - there were days when I would do both the shoots on the same day. In fact, there was a period of about 1.5 weeks when I had to shoot in Vijayawada and Hyderabad. I was kind of shooting in both the cities and my sleep would happen in the car (during the drive) from Hyderabad to Vijayawada. It was quite hectic. It's been crazy, but I will do it all again."
She continued "I would do it all over again with no issues. I like working hard. I don't know, it's a bit weird, but I like the hustle. I'm truly grateful and happy to have got this opportunity, but I waited for this kind of opportunity. There were a lot of other things that would come my way. But I was sure that I wanted to do certain projects that would be good for me. I held my ground really strong even though it took time. It was difficult and everything. I didn't want to compromise on the kind of projects I wanted to do."
She added “It was intended in a way - I have been shooting for both my films with Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas. The plan was to shoot these films one by one, but the release date was changed. They obviously choose a date that's good for the film. So I think the intended gap got a little bit more, uh, extended."
On her experience in starring in Hari Hara Veera Malalu, she shared "I always wanted to do a period film because I think I grew up watching films like ‘Baahubali’. My liking for period films instantly made me interested in this. I play a great role as well. Looking at my entire filmography, this is the biggest film that I've been a part of. The role, too, has good detailing. There are a lot of layers to my character, Panchami, and there are a lot of changeovers that you see in the film. There was no question of me not going for it."
On sharing screen presence with Pawan Kalyan, she said " is an extremely well-read, intelligent person who is also super passionate. He has this personality of a leader - he doesn't have to do anything but his aura is powerful. I think that's why they call him Power Star. He is a very collaborative and an easy actor to work with. He doesn't carry the baggage of being a huge superstar."
On her role Panchami and her preparation for it, she shared "I am a very impatient person. One thing that this particular film has really taught me is patience, and I'm grateful for that. On-screen, the takeaway is that I got to play the role of a queen, so I mean that's a dream-come-true moment for me."
About her preparations for her role, she said "When we started the shoot, the director was very clear on the references. He was clear about how he wanted this character to look – how he wanted her to dress, behave and look as well. I am a director’s actor. From my side, I had to learn a few skills. I'm a trained ballet dancer, so I learnt Bharatanatyam for the film, and then I had to learn horse riding."
She continued "Since this was a period film, you’re wearing so much jewellery and your outfit and everything is so heavy - it's a bit tiring. That was a little difficult, but more than anything, it was just a waiting period of 4 years plus was as exhausting as that. Everything else was great. I have no regrets because I believe in divine time. If the film is coming out on May 9, there is no better possible date for the film to come."
